Can I Afford It?

We want to make sure that all of our new tenancies are affordable and sustainable.  We want customers to be able to live comfortably in our homes and have the means to afford all priority household bills, not just be able to pay the rent. 

What we check before offering a tenancy:

• Two months of bank statements
• Your income, spending, and regular bills
• Credit checks and benefit checks (if needed)

Other moving costs to keep in mind

• Carpets and flooring: You'll need to provide your own (except for kitchens/bathrooms in new builds)
• Removals: Consider van hire or time off work
• Credit Support: Consider speaking to your local Credit Union for lower-cost borrowing options.
